A major concern in Cavendish Park at present is the proposed Skateboard Park, which Suffolk Coastal District Council believes should be sited on the Parkland beside the Community Church.

A recent “consultation” document was sent out to residents whose property adjoin the green space. The map attached to this document showed the proposed skateboard area out of scale and in a way that many people found misleading - there’s a corrected copy of the map shown here (77Kb jpg). It show the site of the proposed skatepark, and also indicates the comparative sizes of the drawing supplied to residents, and the realistic scaled size of the park.
